God’s Design and Plan:  Stirs

Seize the Moment – Day 225

God’s Design and Plan:  Stirs

Psalm 56:11-13

“in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can man do to me?  I must perform my vows to you, O God; I will render thank offerings to you.
For you have delivered my soul from death, yes, my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of life.”

As we continue our acrostic of DESIGN, Monday we talked about what DRIVES us. Tuesday, it was how God uses our EXPERIENCES to shape us. Today, we focus on what SPIRITUALLY STIRS us to best connect with God.

David was known as a man after God’s own heart. Not because he was perfect, but rather because no matter what was happening in his life, he was seeking after God’s heart, to connect with Him and really know Him. It was this spiritual stirring that led him to rise up early in the morning to seek Him; to cry out to Him in his time of trouble; but also to declare his love and trust in God.

This Psalm was written at a time when it seemed like the whole world was against him, but David connected with God and realized that he had nothing to fear, because God was in control. He was spiritually stirred and knew where his hope and trust was placed…not in man, but in God!

It’s time for us to wake up and realize that since we are all uniquely designed, it will take different things to stir us spiritually. For some, it is music; for others, it’s the spoken word; for others, it is art; while still for others, it is the written word. Whatever stirs you, use it to better connect with the God who loves you!
